An S430 I had only used to manage 13 - 14MPG (in Jersey), so lots of stop start and no long runs...........I would have loved 18 - 20mpg!

i do have a heavy right foot mind....
Not too bad mileage
I've had an S500 W220.075 for a few weeks now and can report the following:
Around town (i only have a 10 mile commute across town) - 19.5mpg
On the motorway with distronic active and 70mph - up to 30mpg
that's on regular fuel too , but i tend to drive like a granny, if I put the boot in, 13-15 seems about right

I generally get about 16-17 in town with mine. Can get near 30 on the motorway.

I get araound 16-19mpg round town, motorways 24-29mpg thats in my s430L, I thought the s500 would do more having the cylinder shut off
