Err I'm a new guy and don't have my Mercedes yet but I think 35mpg is a tad optimistic. It depends on your driving style/environment but think 25 average. Given that I live in central London and nip out to the home counties now and again I consider myself fortunate to average 23 (I zip along a bit) and if I'm just in town it's 16-19. 2002 BMW330i auto.
