Hi I am new to the group and would appreciate any advice on sourcing/repairing the two small flaps on the folding roof tonneau of my R230 2003 SL500. I am aware of the common issue of broken hinges and last year purchased a repair kit online with 3-D printed hinges which worked for a few months. However my local garage says the problem is with the flaps themselves which are broken around the hinge area and need to be replaced. My local MB parts dept will only sell the flap with the surrounding trim at a cost of over £1000 each side. Any advice would be much appreciated.
