Can anyone confirm if the wheel arches/sill bodywork is very different between the W163 & the W164 with regard to fitting mud flaps?

Very different. Shame because the W163 flaps are pricier and hardly ever come up on eBay. Asking your dealer parts counter for a price, and not buying, is a sure fire way to be removed from their Christmas Card list - they have to price lts of component parts to make up the kit.

Ohh dear, never mind. I agree about dealership costs, could nearly buy a tyre for what they want for a single mud flap!
