Multi-car breakdown cover 2024

But ALL cars you might ever drive are covered on personal cover... and the price is the same. You might not be in your covered car.... but you will always be there with yourself! Can't see any logical argument for car cover... unless it was lots cheaper of course!!!!! Your choice of course..
ALL cars I ever drive (for the period of said policies) will be covered anyway. If I follow your logic above and opt for personal cover I would need one policy for myself and one policy for my wife (or pay more money for a joint policy)……... I can’t see any logic in that when I don’t need to.

My car - covered be mobilo.
Wife’s car - covered by car policy - both of us are covered within one policy…..… pretty simple really, unless I’m missing something 🤷‍♂️

Is that a good enough logical argument?

Seems the best option for our circumstances IMO.

Thanks, I’ll take a look at that.
No worries. I know a few people using this. You can extend the cover to your wife for £10. Seems very good value.

Your logic is correct or mine is flawed too! Anyone driving the car is covered.

Fair enough......but in my case....there is a FAR higher chance of us driving other cars than anyone else driving our cars (which is exactly nil).....and if someone else was driving my car I would not be covered in whatever I was driving instead.....like a courtesy car. RAC was £80 for joint cover for me and Mrs AI....which I thought was not too bad. Cue other members saying how much less their joint personal cover was!!!

It’s whatever suits your circumstances. Up until a few years ago I didn’t know they offered the choice.

I’ve just gone back to Gem motoring assist when the AA wouldn’t wouldn’t negotiate a better renewal deal. They offer personal cover as well as specified vehicle cover. One advantage is that they cover vehicles of any age.

In the end LV=Britannia got my money for both policies.
As mentioned earlier I opted for car cover for the wife and personal cover for my daughter. Just over £80 for both policies, loaded with everything but Europe cover.
It’s peace of mind as I’m regularly not in a position to assist if any car issues should arise.

That's who I'm with via my insurance as LV are happy to cover my mods at a reasonable price.

I've been with Gem for years, used them a few times, WAY fast call out times than any of the big companies and always sorted me out.
Would never use the AA or RAC, their service is beyond a joke for the price you pay.
