Hello all , has any one got any ideas what might have caused the following please.

A month ago I replaced the offside indicator lights in the wing mirror , all ok until last week , history of events as follows:-
The recently replaced indicator lamps failed, at the same time sometimes when the drivers window is operated there is an intermittent fault beep ,but no message on mfd.
Then the next day the mfd warned esp fault visit work shop
The next day the mfd warned esp not available
To day esp warnings have disappeared but on inserting key to the first position a single beep is heard and on switching the engine off again a single beep
Incidentally the low washer level is on but the reservoir is full .

Previous history , one week old it was returned to dealer with the bonnet open warning , apparently it was a boot switch!

The ac hasn't worked for years and this year the heater won't blow cold only hot , quite possibly the nicest car I gave ever owned but very electrically rubbish

It has aways eaten rear offside break and indicator lamps , can't remember changing any others

All though I'm an electrician and ex flight engineer on hovercraft , auto electrics leave me frustrated, my gut feeling is a common fault, my worst nightmare is some expensive computer is failing

The car is a January 2003 registered c220 Cdi so I guess that makes it a 2000 - 2002 wiring harness possibility ?

I would appreciate any advice before shelling out cash

Hi Edward
Welcome to the forum.
You have a really good MB specialist on your doorstep at MSL Small Heath.
msl

I'd run the car round there and get them to check out your problems.
I'd guess your constant hot air is a faulty duo valve. Not too expensive to put right, but get it properly diagnosed first.

Many thanks for the recommendation , I'm fed up with bending over the bonnet and grimacing as dealership takes advantage and independents who really don't know
Regards
Edward
