musty smell

So does anyone else have a musty smell in the car.

When the heater is on in the car we tend to get a musty smell best desribed as being similar to the smell from household hoover bag.


I've renewed the filter in the air intake casing which sits above the battery, & it doesn't appear to have helped.

next step anyone, (apart from goingto the local MB stealership for a new car that is.

This is a common problem with air con,,,air con shops and halford sell aerosols of cleaner/ fresh air for this purpose

Yeah they are around £10 from Halfords, you buy a can of aerosol that has a lock on it. Basically turn the engine on, set your aircon system to recirulate, then you position it behind the front passsenger seat i the footwell, set it off, get out and close all the windows.

Once its set it cant be turned off
