And yes, i know the chrome arches are horrific. I will be removing them soon
I want this car standard/period looking. I have already removed some clear front indicators in favour of the orange ones. I just dont think they suit a pre face-lift car at all. Normally the first thing i would have done would be to paint the grill insert black but once again, i dont think it would suit the car with its grey bumpers, wiper arm and door handles. So grey it shall stay

Fitted a very nice leather interior today
Its in superb condition with only very slight wear on the drivers seat bolster. No rips or tears at all. It could do with a slight clean and some leather feed. But apart from that, for £100, im not complaining!!!

A few updated pics
I just thought id update the pics a little. As you can see i have been busy restoring the car a little. I got rid of the horrible chrome arches and found the front wings totally rotten, so replaced them with some genuine merc items. Thankfully the metal and inner wings are spotless and the rear arches are are spotless too. The next job is to replace the sills. The front jacking points are dodgy to say the least!! And one side has a hole half way along, so instead of patching them up id rather just replace them both and be done with it. And i will be refurbing the wheels in the not to distant future too. Il also give it a thorough waxoyling as soon as the new sills are on to help keep it nice and rust free for another 19 years. Anyway il stop jabbering and post the pics
