Of course, it wasn't going to have a fit any any other time of day is it...nooooo, 2am in the morning! :wallbash: It sounds once, then goes quiet for a while, then sounds again.

So I unlocked the car which obviously disabled the alarm. I then had a quick scratch and ponder about my life as I recovered from the rude awakening. In this time the car locked itself and again the alarm went off.

So I get dressed and go outside to see if there's anything up. I get into the car to see if there's anything flying around, there isn't. I get out and open/close all the doors to check everything and it all seems fine. I disable the Anti-Tow and Interior Motion Sensors and then lock up.

It was fine after that. This morning I unlock and lock to reset everything and it's still fine.

Any ideas what might be up? Is there any simple tasks to check the operation of the two sensors?

Further to this. Whilst I was driving just now, the 'Bonnet Open' warning popped on on the dash twice.

Alarm also sounded after I'd parked up for 20 mins.

An intermitant bonnet sensor would cause the problem, so I popped the bonnet when I got home and found the bonnet sensor half hanging out of the latch. I have had the bonnet open quite a few times in the last couple of weeks.

Hopefully that should sort it.

Hopefully will.

If not, try closing all the air vents overnight. This solved a problem we once had when one of our cars was parked in a windy place.

Had this problem with a c class sport coupe. It was a faulty motion sensor in the rear screen as I remember
