Searching for another
My first post on this forum !
I hope it comes out . My car is an E36 AMG with 108,000 miles in blue black.
I would be interested in hearing from other E36 owners regarding there experiences of this car.
Sorry , tried to add some pics but I haven't got a spare week to work it out.

Welcome to the forum.

E36 AMG ? Do you mean C36 ? Just that I've never heard of an E36 - not to say it was never made, of course ! Don't think you'll find any other E36 owners on here though.

Can't see any pictures . . . did you mean to attach one ?

Thanks Sym, that was quick, its a w124 E36 AMG from 1995, there aren't many , about 14 of each body shape. I have got a Merc brochure from 1994 . There must be a couple of owners here I hope.

aaaaaaaah... gotcha. I was thinking W210. Nope - I bet you are the only one.

somebody will now prove me wrong by coming out of the woodwork, no doubt!

Mail me some pictures if you are having trouble posting them, and I'll put them in the Members Gallery. [email protected]

MMMMM, Nice rare motor - yer making me all jealous loike - just been looking for some simular wheels that your car probably has fitted for my motor. These guys look a good bet - http://www.astyresandwheels.co.uk/index.htm

I will get some pics on here soon via Sym , msn hotmail won't seem to load at the moment.
The wheels are 17 inch monoblock that Mercedes AMG just called "cast wheels" ( not very exciting sounding ). Basically the car is an E320 with the 3606 cc engine from the C36 , body kit, bigger wheels , uprated steering and firmer suspension. I 'm not sure if the brakes are standard or not.

Car sounds wonderful and of course the colour is PERFECT!

A poem what pam Ayres wrote...

"We don't want any of that mucky grey round 'ere mind."

OOH Argh!
Nice on Sporty - I nominate this as posting AND quote of the month. And I know that our very own esteemed Lord Walker the First esquire will second this.

We don't want any of that mucky grey round 'ere mind.

Cheers Kinky.

I can recall it now, Pam's sitting in here rockin' chair........

“I need a Silver Merc”, said me brother to me Da’
“I need some real street cred”
“I need a real cool car”

“Here’s 10 Grand in a sack”,
said me Da to me Bro’,
“Just one condition son, on this I won’t go back…

I think the early W210 AMG E-classes were also E36's

The W124 E36 was supposed to be a 500E/E500 contender! :)

They were indeed. A w210 E36 is a rare sight indeed. Apparently they come up as E320s on the EPC, very confusing :)

I have been out in a E36..they wouldn't let me drive it though  , was 18 at the time. However the nicer salesman thought they would cheer me up by letting me loose in an SL600 and CL500... I used to love those Malaya Mercedes Open days :bannana:

Come on the, pictures please! I really want to see this - I previously thought it was a US only model as have only ever heard them entioned on US forums.

There's an 1994 E36 AMG Coupe in Bradford, it's owned by a guy who runs a plumbers merchants, he's had it for 9 years to my knowledge and possibly from new. I didn't realise it was such a rarity, but looking in Parkers price guide they say it's a specialist car made in limited numbers and dont list prices for it.

There is also an E36 AMG Cabriolet somewhere in the area that I've seen in the city centre twice. Last time was in January... with the top down. Now that I do know is rare, certainly the only one I've ever seen.

an e36 estate has been featured in mercedes enthusiast last two months... Nice!! Apparently AMG denied ever making them!!

An excellent motor! You must come to one of our Meetings (there's bound to be one in the summer).
