So very sorry to hear that Ian.
I understand just how attached we all become to our pets and nothing I can say will make you feel better, but both Bev and yourself have my deepest sympathy.

Ian - so very very sorry. Our four legged friends bring such much to our lives and leave such a gaping hole when they leave - but the memories last forever.

Very sorry to hear about your loss Ian.

Heartbreaking when they go.

Sorry to hear that bad news, Ian. What a lovely looking dog - what was his name?

Cheers
Andrew

Ian,

My most sincerest and heartfelt sympathies to you.

It's amazing how close, attached and reliant we get with our wonderful 4-legged friends.

Kindest regards and thoughts with you,

K

So sorry Ian, when it happens it leaves such a hole in ones life.

That's a terrible shame for you. Losing a doggy friend is a big a wrench as losing a human friend.

Sorry to hear about the loss Ian, My sympathies go out to you all.

My sincerest sympathies - I know it can be heart-breaking, just hope you can soon look back and enjoy the memories of your time with your beautiful dog.

Best wishes to all.

Sorry to hear your sad news Ian.

THE POWER OF THE DOG

There is sorrow enough in the natural way
From men and women to fill our day;
And when we are certain of sorrow in store,
Why do we always arrange for more?
Brother and Sisters, I bid you beware
Of giving your heart to a dog to tear.

Buy a pup and your money will buy
Love unflinching that cannot lie --
Perfect passion and worship fed
By a kick in the ribs or a pat on the head.
Nevertheless it is hardly fair
To risk your heart for a dog to tear.

When the fourteen years which Nature permits
Are closing in asthma, or tumour, or fits,
And the vet's unspoken prescription runs
To lethal chambers or loaded guns,
Then you will find -- it's your own affair --
But . . . you've given your heart to a dog to tear.

When the body that lived at your single will,
With its whimper of welcome, is stilled (how still!);
When the spirit that answered your every mood
Is gone -- wherever it goes -- for good,
You will discover how much you care,
And will give your heart to a dog to tear.

We've sorrow enough in a natural way,
When it come to burying Christian clay.
Our loves are not given, but only lent,
At compound interest of cent per cent.
Though it is not always the case, I believe,
That the longer we've kept 'em, the more do we grieve:
For, when debts are payable, right or wrong,
A short-time loan is as bad as a long --
So why in Heaven (before we are there)
Should we give our hearts to a dog to tear?

Rudyard Kipling

You never forget you pet dogs, here's hoping your memories will always cheer you up.

Regards Mark.

Both my Wife and I would like to thanks each and every one of you for your kind words. Brandy (what else do you call a ST Bernard) Was loved by us all. My son used to take him for walks when he was younger because Brandy, for him, was a babe magnet. For my daughter, security on the streets. For me, someone to share my problems with. For my wife, some one other than me to spoil. Once again thank you all. Now back to important things, Mercedes.

Thanx Alex, over it now and hopefully back to normal which means I am open to abuse. :D :D
