C63 Coupe
hi everyone,
Just signed up the the forum. look forward to my time on here!
Been about 5 weeks since i picked up my diamond white coupe and loving it. just completed the painfull 1k mile run in so now sounds even better :D.

Just wondered if there is anything i need to know about the car like tweaks, tips or upgrades that are worth doing? or anyone know issues that should be addressed?

any advise is much a appreciated,
cheers
Ben

Lol.....if only you knew. :thumb:

PS. Welcome

Just remember this mantra...........

Ommmmm..... - I've got a C63 and you haven't - Ommmmm.......

Seriously, great car - any photos? :thumb:

Painful? A friend of mine used to run his cars in the day after purchase, just drove from his home in Surrey up to Scotland and back then took it for the inspection the next day. :D

Welcome to the forum btw :)

We must have a LOT of V8 owners on here now.

Thanks everyone :thumb:

Will get some pics up soon. main things are diamond white, black wheels and glass, red/black interior and carbon interior.

LOVE IT!

Another one joins the fold!

Welcome - there is a group of old members on here, their blood boils at the mention of a C63, Dieselman is one of them so you don't really want any C63 specific info from him. However he does seem to be a very knowledgable chap and if you catch him in the right mood.....

Nothing needs doing to the car, keep your eye on the oil level and post up some pics (unless it is white with black wheels ;) )

Welcome - there is a group of old members on here, their blood boils at the constant ego massaging by a small number of owners of C63 models. Dieselman has his own opinions so you don't really want any C63 specific info from him. However he does seem to be a very knowledgable chap and if you catch him in the right mood.....

Corrected that for you ;) But alas dont want this to lead into an argument.

And here's the first one! You're thread will now descend into tripe.

Be prepared for this and you will be fine, but do try not to rattle the old school by searching before posting asking about what oil or type pressures you should use.

PM Me for my ignore list so you can fill that in with the muppets and this place will look a lot better.

Apologies to the OP. It wont descend into tripe as you put it Simon, as I said I dont want to start an argument. You clearly do for whatever reason. I actually like V8 AMG cars, Shude has one, BlackC55 has one. For the majority of C63 owners, I have alot of time. However, some individuals choose to think along certain lines and hence never move on - eh Simon.

My advice to you B3NEJ is not bother with the idle gossip. Simon has his own reasons for his personal crusade (attention???).

Anyways, I hope you enjoy your car and hope to see pics of it soon. Simon put your handbag away, ta sweety.

Unfortunately owing to the subtlety of this amendment it looks as though Dieselman is one of the C63 owners who massage their egos!!

Dieselman hasn't get a c63?

Anyway, a hearty welcome to a new C63 owner.
Nice car.

Don't take any notice of Simon, everybody here is actually pretty easygoing and helpful.

Congrats no tips/tweaks really, some use dms to remap the c63 to approx 520bhp if you fancy it,other than that enjoy the beast.

Hi and welcome B3 NEJ

great car i hope you enjoy it

i do hope your thread will not be ruined , its a first class forum with many knowledgeable people but it is sadly susceptible to AMG and c63 drivers being ambushed

i know that NW Merc will challenge my post almost immediately but i mean him no harm and this is not directed at him specifically

good luck B3NEJ and apologies in advance for what you may receive

- should have bought a beema ! (JOKE)

How could you have been so foolish to have bought a C63, however at great personal sacrifice I'm prepared to swap my immaculate C200cdi so that you can enjoy the satisfaction of not having to visit petrol stations on such a regular basis. :D

:doh::D

artyman has a good point
imo the c63 is the most frequent visitor to petrol stations in the history of man
the 200 cdi or even 220 cdi runs on vapour and they are brisk too
