My car finally arrived:-)

Well, after nearly 3 weeks wait, my car finally arrived yesterday

Anyway, the wife an I have spent all day so far cleaning it well I bought it from a trader, and although it was obviously put through a car wash or similar, it wasn't what I call clean when it arrived.

So a coat of Autoglym red polish (commercial not retail) followed by a coat of Autoglym Gold deep shine polish and the interior shampooed followed by the windows all polished and the tyres and wheels cleaned, and we are BOTH shattered! but the car is clean.

The question is where would a multi cd changer be if it was installed in my 230 CLK?

According to the trader I bought the car from it doesn't have one, but he has a few things wrong and according to the Russian MB site , it was fitted with a multi cd changer when the car was new (It may have been removed but...) I have looked in the boot, but it doesn't appear to be there unless I have gone blind (as well as stupid) so where are they normally fitted in CLK's?

They are fitted in the boot on the right hand side. If yours isnt there, check for the cables. There should be two. One an orange fibre optic, the other a three core power/wakeup cable.

What often happens is the CD changer gets removed just before the car is traded in or sold. IT then finds its way onto ebay!

If you dont have one and want one, let me know as I have a second hand one with mounting bracket available.

I don't suppose you have all the cables with your cd changer do you? If you do what sort of price would you be looking for and have you any idea how difficult it is to fit?

I'll PM you with the pricing. the cables can be fitted. See my HOWTO in the howto section. If it was there once then I doubt the cables would have been removed. Have a good look under the carpet in the boot and around the battery. I'll bet they are there somewhere!
