C43 AMG :D

Picked up from a fellow member (who was really accomodating - THANKS ;)) last week after a quick trip by flight and then the 4.5 hour road trip to the ferry port at Cairnryan back to Belfast

I am in awe of the car - no other words can describe my delight. It has exceeded every expectation and more.

The only mod so far is the factory fit cup holder :) Plan to get the factory fit carpeted AMG mats and upgrade the Key to new chrome style

A few quick snaps at the equally grand and powerful Harland & Wolff cranes in Belfast's Titanic Quarter after a quick bucket of soap - a proper detail will be coming in the next few weeks.

Enjoy :D

It was good to meet you Mat and I wouldn't have sold the car so early in my ownership if you'd have not been so 'enthusiastic' about owning a C43.

Health to enjoy. :thumb:

Very nice! Congrats on your purchase

Health to enjoy..as they same in the shadows of Samson and Goliath.

Maybe time to change your name to Lenny43?

I still miss this Car! Lee looks like you did a good job of tidying it up, nice to see it remain in the family so to speak!

Looks great. Enjoy.

Thanks for the kind comments guys

Alex - I can see why
You miss it !

Very nice!

Little bit of an update

Getting the car back tomorrow after a 2 week leave of absence - she was having some TLC with a competent Merc specialist who mainly specialises in G wagons - but has a C43 himself.

I've had a full clean and under seal completed underneath - and the good news is she is solid - phew !
I've also had the following done:

- Gearbox & TC Oil change (Gen MB oil) - new sump seal, gearbox filter and new pilot bushing plug
- Diff oil change (again Gen MB oil - takes 1.1 litres approx - was £32+vat a litre - ouch!!)
- 2 x rocker cover gaskets ( both had a slight leak) & all connecting breather hoses
- Front Fogs rewired (connecting looms were toast)
- General health check

I can't wait to get her back - the hour long drive home will be a fun one :D

If its ok can you post their name ? or even pm me. I find it very hard to get a good Merc specialist here in Northern Ireland. Cheers
