Evening all, I've just placed an order for a 16 plate C63 Premium from Kent Cars, REALLY great to deal with, and I've actually bought it without seeing it in the flesh (which I've NEVER done before)

Can anyone recommend a good gap insurance company, a good warranty company, and would you take out a service plan with MB? I'll only be doing around 6k per year max.

Shitting myself a bit, as I've privately leased for the passed 4 years, but I've always wanted a C63, and leasing one was just WAY to expensive.

Cheers

Congratulations, excellent choice. Regarding GAP, search PistonHeads for their voucher code (or maybe it’s a link) to use with ALA. I’ve never found cover for anywhere near that price, and they seem to have a good reputation.

If you are dealing with Kent Motor Cars that is where I purchased my 507 Coupe from. Great bunch of people and good to deal with. They offered me a 3 year GAP insurance policy when I collected the car that will refund me back to the invoice price in the event of a total loss claim so they should be able to do the same for you.

Servicing wise, I went with a 3 year plan with MB that I paid for up front. I will revisit that idea in November when my last service under the plan is done. I'm currently undecided as to renew or not. Pros are the dealer is near enough to walk back from when the car goes in, I trust the dealer and they have looked after me well to date, the cover includes Mercedes Mobilo breakdown insurance across Europe and I intend to visit the AMG Factory next year for a bit of a road trip. Really depends on the price quoted as it will be for BAB services in that order so if it is c£1,500 again it will be well worth it.

The cons are limited really to needing to buy breakdown cover and then finding a good Indie, having said that PCS are fitting me new brake pads all round later this month and have heard nothing but good about them on this forum so happy to go down that route if I want to.

Whatever you choose make sure you drive the car and enjoy it, they are addictive

Welcome, Liddo, what a fantastic first Merc! Plenty of pics when you get it. :) 👍

Cheers for the replies guys, much appreciated 👍 I'll look into all your suggestions, and post some pics up when I get it ;)

Congratulations, looks good.
Presume the car already has a full MB service history?

I'd take out a service plan with Mercedes personally, I done it with my own car, 4 year service plan is £40 a month.
I paid for year 1 service, so the plan will cover the expensive years then.

Do you need GAP on a 4 year old vehicle? Most of its depreciation is already done.

Hiya, yeah, 2 services, and the dealer is getting it serviced this week by an MB specialists who can update the Mercedes system.

Deffo going to take out a service plan, although I normally only keep my cars 12 months to 2yrs max. Hopefully I'll be keeping the C63 a while

Errrmmmm, not sure, probably not thinking about it, but it will pay the full value I paid for the car in 2 years, if it get wrote off or stolen.

Great car , you’ll really enjoy it. Love ours.

Having had a car stolen, I wished I had GAP insurance. It was a leased car and the shortfall on the insurance was very concerning for a very long time. I now have GAP on cars I buy outright now, as it surprised me how low the insurance company’s best offer was.

Congrats on the C63 and welcome to the forum!
