Hi everyone, i've just found this part of the forum so i thought id take a little time to introduce myself and my car.
I'm Chris and this is my first Mercedes. The car was my brothers first car and he had it for six years. He started driving at the age of 20 and this was the cheapest car he could insure. It seems daft but it was cheaper to insure than your typical corsa or clio. He's spent a fortune maintaining it over the years it was looked after by a merc specialist and what ever was suggested needed doing was done regardless of cost. There's a couple of reciepts in the service book for more than what the car was worth. i think there's about 6k in total. He didnt wash it though and as so the bodywork needs attention. To be honest it needed attention when he bought it.
I'm going to be honest i bought the car with the intention of breaking it but after getting it and going through the service documents, seeing the interior and looking underneath its far too good to break. Its also such a rare colour that it would be a real shame. I've also really started to like it. i used to hate the colour but its growing on me now its been cleaned up and polished. I'm going to tackle the bodywork myself. Ive done classic car restoration at night school and ive helped out in my mates bodyshops before so i have a good basic knowledge of what im doing. Im going to try and bring it back to its former glory and maybe do some shows with it. Its all factory spec as well apart from the wheels its even got the standard head unit and first aid kit.
Ive had a varied history of cars but currently got a Bmw z4 coupe as my daily driver and a supercharged mk1 mx5 as my toy.
