Hi all

First it was Fords, capris escorts etc.
Then came the Nissan RWD obsession 200sx, silvias and currently a 350z
Needed a Daily and a very clean 2002 C320 came up at a price I could not refuse.
Smooth as silk doesn't begin to describe how it drives. Electric everything and all still works perfectly.
So naturally I plan on ruining that by adding HR Springs etc.
Tried finding workshop manuals but Haynes doesn't cover my engine.
American book not so clever according to the reviews which has led me here.
Hope you all won`t mind a bunch of questions you`ve answered many times before. I will use the search button best I can. (standard forum newbie behaviour)
Thankyou for having me.

Welcome aboard, Adam.

Just ask away! :)

I don't see why newbies should have to use the search facility.
By being told to do so it's as though they are being undermined and put in their place until becoming an established member, which I actually think is unfriendly, unwelcoming and dare I say bully-orientated.

Each time a question is asked, even if it has been covered in previous threads, it can often throw up new or alternative opinions and if nothing else, gives people a chance to share their knowledge and make the place busier.
It would be a dull and stagnant forum if each subject was only covered once, because there wouldn't be anything to discuss!

I hope you enjoy your car and learning all about it on MBClub. :thumb:

As a newbie I found the search facility very useful when I wanted to get a quick understanding of a problem, especially if responses to the thread were few. I think it does depend on how the suggestion (that past threads be searched) is worded. On some occasions if you have a problem it needs sorting out to get the car back on the road ASAP it is understandable that forum members are busy and are not always on line and able to assist, hence the need to search the database yourself.
I found there is an amazing amount of information available to supplement the enjoyment of participating in this forum

Hello Adam. Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to hearing about your new obsession. Post a pic or two when you get the chance. :thumb:

Welcome to MBClub and congratulations on your new car

Looking forward to seeing some photos. That particular generation of C-class is a handsome thing, and looks wonderful lowered - I had one on H&R springs and whilst it was firm, it was still remarkably comfortable.

Welcome mate I'm new too we can be noobs together and ask daft questions lol

Hi and welcome from another recent addition, hope you enjoy the merc. Any questions, fire away!
