My first week in the C55 with some pics!

Very beautiful car! Either it was kept in mint shape and/or you are an expert polisher. The whole car looks as good as brand new, straight from the production line. I like the rim design too!

I think its both to be honest.

When I originally bought it there wasnt a single dent anywhere on it. The original purchaser simply told the dealer to 'tick every option box'. They did!

The only issue it had was the bonnet colour looked a bit flat. Looks like Steve has sorted that.

Beautiful car. That's what I'd have if I didn't need a 211 for all the family clutter.

Thanks, I gave them a call and it takes Mobil One 0 40w.

I was just looking thru some old car bits and bobs in my works draw and found a colour printout of an Autotrader advert from April 2010, its a black 2005 C55 for sale at Baker Brothers of Surrey with grey leather interior! Spooky that is this car!!

Not sure to be honest. Its whatever Tony Purslows (Guildford Mercedes) use. Olly recently changed the ATF fluid in the gearbox aswell.

Bodywork is great no dents or dings, most of that is just from a good wash & dry, it will be polished and waxed when we get better weather.

If you want to fit some HK badges they are probably available on their own for a few pennies each, like the BOSE badges are.

That is the very same car.

I first saw it at MB watford for £36k with 3500 miles on the clock. Then it was bought by the chap whose name appears on that photocopied registration document. I contacted him and he confirmed he had looked after it and apart from that wheel bolt hitting the bonnet, it had never been in any accident or scrape.

Yes it's a lovely car - remember it well at jay's GTG..:thumb:

Alfie - what's on order ??

Me and a friend went and saw your car and my friend put a £600 deposit and then after 48hrs they phoned him and said we put the car on the STAR and there was a fault in the car so he pulled out from the deal.

I was there I went with him to see it and test drove it and if I remember rightly the rear blinds were playing up at the time!

very rare car he really was so so close to buying it!

Think the only reason they said that is because he got the price so down and I image somebody came in with a better offer at the time IMO!

My '55 plate C55 had Bose so presume it was an option to have one or the other.

I love my C63 but the '55 was probably the best Qcar I have ever owned. The '63 isn't quite so subtle.....

Thats interesting. I never had any trouble with the blind in my ownership. I also went to see it and put it on STAR myself. There were no errors. Plus I know the dealer doesnt have STAR himself. So I bought it.

I researched the cars entire history from new, speaking to both the previous owners. It took me about two months to find out what I wanted to know (first owner lives overseas 49 weeks a year). Then it took me about two weeks to get the price down to a 'nice' level.

Trando - Bose was never an option on the C55 it was only ever HK and that was standard. Bose was only ever fitted to D2B cars. All C55's are MOST (HK) based.

.

That's what the dealer said to him at the time.

and yes when I pushed the rear blind button it use to just click sometimes, it was tempremental.

The car drove perfect and we did not see anything wrong, it was in such good condition and it even smelt new that's why he put a deposit on it straight away, she was around 40K at the time!

If I remember rightly he managed to knock off 2K off the price and after 48hrs when he was going to pay they phoned him and said it's got a fault!

Which I doubt it did to be honest!

Do you know what? I think you're right... Now I think about it mine had HK as well. Must have been thinking about my previous Audi.... Either that or age is finally creeping up on me!

Blimey, small world!

Yep the advert last April has it up for £18,995 with 40k on the clock.
