I am furious.

Less than an hour ago my friend tried to overtake me, and ended up sideswiping my car.

I have a deep groove in my front right wing. and i also have some chipped up paint on my front passenger door.

My friend was pleading with me that he could get it fixed from BMW.

I drive an Audi A4 to work. The merc stays at home.

I am ****ing furious. He was drunk and side swiped me (not intentionally), i am so close to ending this friendship.

He is like a brother to me, but i am so ****** off!!!

What an idiot. With all the **** going on in my life, this is the last thing i need...

Blimey, bummer. Sorry to hear of the damage, but more worrying..he was drunk?

Sorry to hear that,

Also quote "He was drunk and side swiped me"

If he was drunk then report it THERE IS NO excuse that could have been someone he hit not a lump of metal.

Metal can be fixed, he needs to learn a lesson friend or no friend.

A couple of miles an hour faster or slower and you could be toast. Needs reporting because it could be some kiddie or older person in the next car.

Now, I never swear, except on Tuesdays, but your "friend" is a complete to**er!

He just rang me.

He said he can get it fixed..

I'm going to let it lie...

Until i see the work.

My father once scraped my A4 against a wall, and when he had it reparied it looked better than new.

He better fix it asap!

Sorry maybe I'm a bit thick.
But I fail to understand what it has to do with friendship.
He was DRUNK and therefore should NEVER have been on the road driving.

What if he hit a person instead of your car, would they have been so easily fixed by BMW, and would you still feel the same?

Sorry but I think he should be reported friend or not.

Alex.

Can he afford to get it repaired properly straight away ?

.

From what i gather yes.

He does not want us falling out over it. We work together, and he does not want our workmates finding out abut it.

So it could cause you a world of problems if it all came out plus you would lose a good friend ?

I know its probably wrong but in your shoes I would be doing exactly what you are going to do

.

If your friend was just ****ing about and hit your car then, possibly, ok BUT he was DRUNK there just is NO way he should walk away. Fix your car sure but next time?
You would be doing him a favour, report him before he does something he can't "fix" so easily......

I would want a nice "present" and the car repaired properly

This time tommrrow there is no way to prove that he was drunk and he probably knows this. I just hope he has the same attitude tommrrow

What damage is there to your car

And the next time he's out driving while DRUNK and does some serious damage to someone's life and their family?

Sorry but there is NO EXCUSE for DRINK DRIVING in my book.
NONE WHAT SO EVER.

Alex.

What damage is there to your car

There is a dent in the front wing of the car and a scrape along the passanger door.

It is night atm, so i will get a better look in the morning.

He thought i was trying to race him. What an absolute idiot.....

I am pretty angry, but i am trying to be mature about the whole thing.

He is close to me, as is his family..

Yes he was drunk, but i am going to sit him down tomorrow and have a talk with him..

Hassle you dont really need.

I wouldn't care how close, family or not... I'd report this too.

And what's the impact on your bodywork warranty by having a BMW repair?

The car itself is out of Audi warranty.

But even then, i have kept it in tip top condition.

I am just so angry at the audacity of my friend.
