My ML250 was fine this morning - Filled up at Tesco - Shortly after it started stuttering when pulling away (Up to 1200 rpm) then all fine - No lights

I pretty adamant you have contaminated fuel. Drain and re-fill with fresh fuel before you do anything. As you have driven it you may find you need a set of injectors. They are not cheap. Drain fuel, new fuel filter first and see how it is after.

Fuel contamination in Diesel engine is potentially a major issue, because Diesel fuel is in fact oil and it is used to lubricate the high-pressure fuel pump and the injectors, and without this lubrication, these components may suffer (expensive) damage.

Does the diesel and water separate in the tank sufficiently to drain the water off from the bottom without having to drain the diesel? Have you ever tried an additive to aid that?

Its best to drain the tank completely. Often the water is not pure and has all kinds of debris in it. Drain the tank. Do it properly once.

However there are only 3 left in the UK and none in stock in Germany.
So we would not be able to supply a full set of exchange injectors.
For a non exchange injector this will come out at £425.00 + vat and we do have good stock in the UK and will be able to provide a complete set of injectors
At a cost of £1700 + vat for the x4 injectors.
