A big thank you to Wheelie for his help sorting this out for me. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Sorry for the bad picture, it was dark by the time I got back.  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'> &nbsp; The box and bars are genuine MB and was easy to fit, Wheelie and myself lifted it off the car at the garage and straight onto mine. It is longer than I expected it would be but quite narrow, it came complete with a ski rack inside. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> &nbsp;I thought it would be noisy and I might be able to tell it was their but I could'nt even at 95 I mean 75mph on the Mway!!!

There is a clever hinge system that allows it to open on either side. Plenty of extra room now for luggage and bits on holiday.  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/banana.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':bannana:'>  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Cant do it! It specifically says in the instructions it must not be painted.

There is a badge on the rear, and on the end of each roof bar. Perhaps a nice gold star on the front. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

I know it is not the most stylish of accessories but more of a practical one. Let's face it, it will only get used 2 or 3 times a year. I could take the box off, leave the bars on and get a surfboard just for the posing. Anyway i have taken it off for now, I didn't want to start any rumours at work as to why I needed a roof box. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

I recon you could remove the Ski rack and have a bed in there &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Put a couple of perspex windows in the side and you would have a camper van &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

More space for Bass? &nbsp; <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/music.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':music:'>

A sub in the roofbox , ported through the sunroof to the cabin ... <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'>

Jimmy:  looks like a Cruise missile mate - expect you'll have UN weapons inspectors crawling all over it at the next GTG  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

Nice bit of kit though, very practical if you require extra storage.  If I had one I'd be tempted to lock my sprog in it, if only to muffle the repeated cries of &quot;are we there yet ??&quot; <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':sly:'>

Saw an ML with two side by side this morning. Looked OK, but no good for vertigo sufferers.
