I Loewe Old Skool AMG
So my new calipers arrived by the postoffice today.
I felt like a kid in a candy store today, I think I got ADHD when I saw my calipoers!:bannana: :bannana: :bannana:
You see the banana freekin' out?
This is what I felt today on Friday.

These calipers are huge and heavy.
But they are macho as hell!
Now I need to get me some rotors.

What rotors are recomended if not MB oem rotors?
Drilled rotors are prone to crack so should I go for slotted discs instead?

On a 4 pot caliper those pistons differ in size.
Which one of the pistons begins to work first?
Is it the smaller one and goes over to the larger piston or is it the opposite?

I worry about the wheel speed sensors or the ABS sensor connectors on my car?
Does c32 and c43 use the same harness plug to connect to the wheel speed sensor and the ABS sensors in the front?

Here are my pics.
Hope you like em'?
I sure do!

looks nice man... are these the c32 calipers

yes they are C32 calipers
heavy like tone of brix!

now I worry if they make the clearence from my Brabus monoblock V rims with ET35
Front rims are 8,5 in front

If they dont clear, there's always spacers! Nice set of callipers there, I didnt even know they could fit on the C43.

on 202 club a lot of members did it..they should clear fine...,but yea spacers will work. :thumb:

they are the same as my calipers and mine aren't branded AMG.

since c43 only have 2 pistons on the front calipers, am I going to notice any smoother braking with those 4 pot calipers?

C43 has a brutal n savage braking performance with those factory Jurid brakepads when stepping the brakepedal!

If I have to buy 3mm spacers for clearing my new calipers.
God forbid!
Are the stock factory lugbolts long enuff to use with 3mm spacers?
I use Brabus front lugbolts

With open rims these calipers are sexy with the AMG logo!
Yyyyyyyiiiiiippppppeeeeee kaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyeeeeeeee Motha Fatha! :bannana:

2 bad club202 died and was buried!
there was lots of good info on that site!

I asked on another forum about using my stock C43 rotors with my new calipers.
Some say this is not recomended to do!
I thought I could get away cheaper here by using my stock rotors?

If I have to buy new rotors and I don't want to go with factory drilled discs, what else is recomended?
To go with slotted instead?
There was hard to find a good aftermarket rotor for c43, is it the same problems for c32 rotors?
I don't like brands like EBC, there has to be something better!
Zimmerman or Brembo or other brands!

So what is the weight of the C32 caliper?? It would be interesting to compare to the Brembo 4 pot which in their catalogue is marked at 4.350kg

Nice, are they new?

Smaller piston up front normally.

Sorry, yes should have said that. First piston in direction of travel is the smaller one.

can anyone x-plain to me in new beginners english!
What's the talk about trailing and leading calipers?
C32 has leading/trailing calipers and c43 has floating/sliding calipers, I dunno know the correct term for them?

I haven't showed this pic on this forum, it's about the brakepad wear sensor and it's bolting bracket that holds the wear sensor in place.
Question is: Can I use my stock c43 brakepad wear sensors and the bracket that holds the wear sensor in place on my new c32 calipers?
Or do I need to buy new C32 AMG wear sensors and the bracket holders?

Picture 1 and 2 is for C43 and E55 front calipers wear sensor/bracket holder

Picture 3 is the C32 AMG caliper and wear sensor/ bracketholder

They are new never used.

To avoid brakedust is it any good to shower those calipers with clearcoat?
Less dust and crap gettin' sticky on them!

I was looking on those Black Diamond rotors.
Is this a good brand?
After a few miles are these rotors still colored in BLACK or are they going to lose their color fast?
Should I go for slotted and drilled or only slotted?????????

Slotted and drilled
Parts for Mercedes-Benz:

Me personally I would go for slotted only. Drilled for extra performance, but are prone to cracking.

They should be OK with the standard powder coat paint finish for brake dust resistance. Not heard of anyone painting them clear coat too.

For interest, where did you get them from? and what sort of cost?

If I pay I can get anything I want!
The same for all you guys.

Sounds good, but very tempting :)

Here is a pic of very similar caliper as your AMG ones, made by Brembo. Oh how I miss that car. :dk:

Solid discs are better, I had Brembos on my Megane 225 & Megane R26. A number of owners changed the original drilled discs for solids, I didn't own either car for long enough to warrant a change.
