I had my first breakdown today...

A flat tyre! Luckily I bought a couple the other day!

So I’ve been so impressed with VAG I’ve gone and bought an Audi A8 daily!

I really like this thing, it’s amazing how differently it behaves depending what mode you put it in.

I’ve done over 2k miles in it already and it’s averaging 44mpg!

I have also put a set of 20” wheels and a “cool” number plate on it!!

Yea I think it’s a bit understated compared to all the in your face, massive bodykit, s line stuff that everyone wants.

Almost two years down the line and the big B is still treating me well! It’s clocked up 109k miles (not too many this year due to starting a new business and not having to drive so many miles).

Honestly don’t know what I’ll eventually replace it with, a newer one or maybe a Ferrari FF if I win the lottery!!

Over 15000 faultless miles done in the Audi already, what a great car!

Thinking about selling it and getting a new car down the lease route though, might look at a GLC or E class, maybe a Q5, A6 or A8 really not too sure what to go with!

Pretty much in the position where I can get something brand new - I’m thinking of putting it through my business so really considering something hybrid (BIK efficient) hence the e class and q5 being on the list.

I went with diesel in the end. The ideal would have been a Q5 hybrid but they are all selling within days and at a premium. I feel that I got a very good price on this one, it’s a 2017 with 1 owner and 30k miles... Funnily enough from my local Bentley dealership.

It needs the windows tinting and maybe some bigger alloys but I can’t wait to pick it up!

Started to get an occasional random misfire on the bentley so treated it to a new set of plugs and coils. £400 all in which I thought wasn’t too bad for 12. It took me around 4 hours to change them taking my time and having a beer, could probably do it in a bit over two hours now I know how. It runs like a dream again and I gave the engine bay a nice clean up whilst I was there.

Check out the intake manifold though, it is a work of art!!

Also did afew bits to the Macan, I had the windows tinted, I have wrapped the chrome trims in satin black, it looks much better now I think! Then I fitted a TDI chip box, it has made a massive difference in performance, haven’t seen much of a change in MPG but haven’t really been using it due to obvious reasons.

I’ve been tempted back into an Audi daily so picked up a nice 2017 S5 today.

More pics to come but the interior is stunning!

Looking forward to seeing the photos. I really like the S5. And you’re right about the interior. Lovely place to be with the Virtual Cockpit and that flat bottomed wheel. Let us know the spec too, along with the optional extras.

A couple of pics!!! Spec is ok, they come with a lot as standard.. keyless, sports seats with massage, all the crazy lights you can think of! The virtual cockpit and flat bottom wheel are pretty much the only optional extras!
