My New to me S63 L 2010 facelift

So........with the CLS Black Beast dying on the Autobahn, time to purchase another AMG and what better to travel in style than an S63L

First impressions are exceptionally comfortable, good handling for a big car and power when required.

Owned previously by Sir Roy Gardner - ex Director of Man Utd so I assume chauffeur driven. Fully loaded and with my few tweaks it's a pleasure to drive from A to B..............to C & D...................and back again

Great car. But a big jump from the compact interior of the CLS to the roomy cathedral that's the LWB W221.

Were you looking for that much extra interior space, or just drawn by the build quality of the W221 ?

And the same question about ride quality: even with those low profile wheels, the S63 must be a lot more wafty than the CLS. Deliberate choice, or just part of the package?

I've always been a fan of the S63 and when this one popped along I couldn't resist

The rims are Khan 21" Diamond Edition which were on the car when I purchased. Not really a fan but seem to be a favourite for most so may keep them on.
Very low profile tyres but still a nice airy ride even with the lowering links

It isn't a Biturbo, those badges were already on and after speaking with the dealer it seems AMG are at fault as it's one of the last 6.2NA engines but on the facelift shell so Herr Schmidt messed up by being 2 months early in slapping a biturbo badge on

Might keep them on for a while

As for mods..........

Exhaust is being modified next week Thursday, tune will be carried out the following Monday and then it's Autobahn time :bannana:

I will never expect the S class to be anywhere near as powerful as my CLS but this is me being sensible for a change, for now
