Lovely car. Didn't realise the bootlip was carbon as I was going to ask why wasn't it colour coded. Now I know. Over a 1000 miles already. If you were scumbag you would be ordering your new rear tyres now.
Lol...if I was scumbag, I'd have got home on one tank of fuel with his 30mpg C63!
The worrying thing is, in my experience I'm only 3500 miles off needing a rear set after one week of ownership
Just thinking - we have quite a few C63 owners on the forum now!
From the top of my head:-
Palmball
(plus the new owner of his last one in black)
Maff
Scumbag
mw_c32 (or had one?)
Chiefski26
Probably a couple of others that I can't remember!
In fact - quite a few AMG owners in general
I think there's even more - Jack Wood, Amar (who bought my old one) to name just two.
So, who's going to arrange the first AMG meet and/or who is going to the national GTG?
Can't believe that colour combo works so well, would never have specced something like that myself but would consider it having seen that - brave choice which has paid off..
Believe me, I had a fair few sleepness nights over it. I knew I didn't want black again and red wasn't available (if it was, i probably would have gone for a white/red combo). I really didn't know how good or bad it would look but I was relieved and delighted when I saw it for the first time!
The dogs......
Is the sat-nav screen cover poppy-uppy thingy covered in leather too?
And why do they leave those stupic black dots on the wheels?
Yes, the entire top part is leather.
The black dots have now been removed off the wheels - anyone who what they are for?
looks fantastic, well done. just bought an 04 CL65 am interested in the detailing you mentioned. not a car buff and dont know much as such but always wanted a big merc so well pleased with it. Its waxing and polishing yeah?
Just make sure the surface is very clean and smooth before waxing it.
Ideally, if the car isn't brand new you need to clay bar it first to remove all the contaminants in the paint. I'd suggest using this as it's safe and only needs water as a lubricant...
Bilt-Hamber Auto-Clay
Then you need to use a cleaner polish such as this...
Dodo Juice Lime Prime
Finally followed by a decent polish - I used Swissvax which is hideously overpriced but good. If you don't fancy spending £100+ on a tub of polish, I'd suggest this as a very good and much more sensibly priced wax...
Collinite Marque-d-Elegance
Click on the names and it'll take you to where you can buy them - about £45 of product and a few hours hard work will get your paintwork smoother than when it left the factory.
