My new WHITE C63 AMG....finally!

Just thinking - we have quite a few C63 owners on the forum now!

From the top of my head:-

Palmball
(plus the new owner of his last one in black)
Maff
Scumbag
mw_c32 (or had one?)
Chiefski26
Probably a couple of others that I can't remember!

In fact - quite a few AMG owners in general

A lot of C63 owners along the A3. I see so many on drives up and down it.

Makes me think about picking up a good used one in a few years; after their motors, along with everything else has been worn in properly. In anticipation.... Thanks guys :bannana:

I have my eye on that beautiful red scorcher :P Matches the hair of swmbo.

Not that palmball hasn't chosen well. In fact a little too well. The more I look at the colour combo the more I like it.

Lucky fella!

A friend of mine has a C63 and it's a beasty! If only I could afford one...

Cheers,

Gaz

Lovely car - congrats..!!!

As for white exterior and cream interior - love it always have since Miami Vice Ferrari Testarossa day's...!!!

Can't believe that colour combo works so well, would never have specced something like that myself but would consider it having seen that - brave choice which has paid off..:thumb:

The dogs......

Is the sat-nav screen cover poppy-uppy thingy covered in leather too?

And why do they leave those stupic black dots on the wheels?

looks fantastic, well done. just bought an 04 CL65 am interested in the detailing you mentioned. not a car buff and dont know much as such but always wanted a big merc so well pleased with it. Its waxing and polishing yeah?

Looks really nice, like the carbon / black spolier.

Looks an eye full :) not sure how the drivers seat will wear but sounds like your pretty good at keeping your car clean.

Lovely....did I say its nice :) you must be happy

Lovely car. Didn't realise the bootlip was carbon as I was going to ask why wasn't it colour coded. Now I know. Over a 1000 miles already. If you were scumbag you would be ordering your new rear tyres now. :D

Lol...if I was scumbag, I'd have got home on one tank of fuel with his 30mpg C63!

The worrying thing is, in my experience I'm only 3500 miles off needing a rear set after one week of ownership

I think there's even more - Jack Wood, Amar (who bought my old one) to name just two.

So, who's going to arrange the first AMG meet and/or who is going to the national GTG?

Believe me, I had a fair few sleepness nights over it. I knew I didn't want black again and red wasn't available (if it was, i probably would have gone for a white/red combo). I really didn't know how good or bad it would look but I was relieved and delighted when I saw it for the first time!

Yes, the entire top part is leather.

The black dots have now been removed off the wheels - anyone who what they are for?

Just make sure the surface is very clean and smooth before waxing it.

Ideally, if the car isn't brand new you need to clay bar it first to remove all the contaminants in the paint. I'd suggest using this as it's safe and only needs water as a lubricant...

Bilt-Hamber Auto-Clay

Then you need to use a cleaner polish such as this...

Dodo Juice Lime Prime

Finally followed by a decent polish - I used Swissvax which is hideously overpriced but good. If you don't fancy spending £100+ on a tub of polish, I'd suggest this as a very good and much more sensibly priced wax...

Collinite Marque-d-Elegance

Click on the names and it'll take you to where you can buy them - about £45 of product and a few hours hard work will get your paintwork smoother than when it left the factory.

That is a seriously lovely car, don't get too carried away cleaning it, drive and enjoy!!!

Ha ha...you must have just been watching me. I popped out about an hour ago to give it a wipe over to remove yesterday's and today's dirt. My missus says I need help....yep, I probably do!

I've gotta say though, this new quick detailer I've recently been using is amazing stuff for cleaning a mildly dirty car between washes and it brings up a cracking shine if you use it immediately after drying your car. Here is the stuff I'm talking about....

Dodo Juice Red Mist Quick Detailer

Try it!

Your C63 looks fantastic Palmball, even better than when I saw it in the factory! Your detailing is perfection!

Just to make you smile my business partner followed me up the M1 last week in his new Aston Martin DBS (V12, 510bhp) and my C63 was noticeably quicker at all speeds, from 20mph all the way to ...mph. He was a little surprised when we stopped (so was I to be honest!!). I'm so pleased I opted for the PP+ :D :D

Thanks...although I don't think Vicki has appreciated the detailing as much this week!

Yes, from the feeling the acceleration gives towards the top-end of the rev range, I think AMG have been a bit pessimistic with their claim of giving it an additional 30bhp.

It certainly feels like it would have the legs on my previous BMW M6 (indeed, I had a little play with a guy in an Aston DBS when I had the M6 and at best, the BMW could just about keep up). The fact that the C63 has so much torque low down in the rev range and so much power high up means it a great all-rounder.
