Just a quick hello, I've been meaning to join this forum for a long time but never got round to it until now. I'm on my 3rd C-Class, I did stray away in between the 2nd and 3rd, but nothing else compared.

I actually didn't expect to buy my first one. I was at the time commuting on the M25 daily in a Mini Cooper (manual, and with no aircon during the peak of summer). I decided I needed an automatic in my life, and on a whim pulled into a local dealership just to have a look and ended up testing driving the car I eventually bought.

It wasn't anything special, just a W204 C220d (Sportline 125 or something) in Magentite Black (a bit nicer than taxi driver black). Specwise, it wasn't too special but from what I can remember it had intelligent lights and COMAND.

After a couple of years I changed to a W205 C220d in Tenorite Grey. This one had the Premium Plus pack and black ash interior - a much nicer place to sit over the W204 but actually I have fonder memories of the W204. Maybe because it was my first?

The only picture I can find of it:

I sold this after doing about 3000 miles in ~18 months (changed jobs where I commuted by train) and bought a petrol Honda. While it was a nice car, I missed the C class so it wasn't long before I started looking around again.

I was quite picky with what I had in mind spec-wise, and after a while I found the one for me:

It's a W205 C63 AMG in Brilliant Blue Metallic. The spec includes the Premium pack (which may or may not come as standard - larger screen, burmester, etc.), performance exhaust, intelligent lights and 360 cam. The interior has the black ash wood which was a must for me.

Only changes since I've had it is a bit of dechroming. I've been meaning to give it a proper paint correction, but it scrubs up quite nicely as is. I'm not going to ceramic coating as I'm a weirdo who enjoyed trying different waxes and other products :D

That Blue really is brilliant, really pops, love it!

Lovely looking car 👌i like the colour

Stunning motor, the wheels and the colour 👌

Thank you all for the welcome :)

In those pictures I used some Chemical Guys "Butter wet wax" which gives a real slick look. It doesn't last very long, but I'd recommend it to other owners
