My two MBs ...
The 2009 E280 cdi Sports Estate .... VIN: WDB 2112202 B382603
The 2005 C200 Kompressor SE Auto .... VIN: WDB 2037422 A683846

are both due a transmission service in the next few days.
I have the fluid, filters, new gaskets.
Can anyone advise - Is there likely to be a converter drain plug on either of these vehicles ?
Thanks.
J.

you need to spin it so it shows the plug. You will see when you are under there

Thanks guys for your quick replies.
These are not jobs that I will be doing myself, but will be taking to my trusted garage - Rodley Motors in Bradford.
I do most things myself.
However, I no longer have a dry, under-cover place to work.
Lieing on my back at the end of the garden is not a good place to open up an auto-transmission - Certainly not if you ever want it to work again !!!
I don't have an overhead lift.
and
Sadly - I am now 74.
I trust very few garages to do anything more complicated that clean the windscreen, but I do trust Rodley's who I've used since about 1978 when I ran a full-size American Chevy.
They were (and still are) specialists in American parts and service.
Thanks for advice.
J.
