A V220 cdi has the following faults. The MB workshop have given it the Star Diagnostic test and deduced that no. 3 injector has gone down and , as a result, the ECU has switched into "limp mode" and will not run properly until attended to. The printout is showing, "fault in rail pressure" and "Glow plug fault"

How can this problem be fixed and how much is it likely to cost me.

cost ??? if the injectors will come out then £100 for a recon inj but £300 at merc !!!! chances are all injectors are on the way out.
do you use injector cleaner ??? how many miles 100 to 120 k ia about all you get before trouble
also its a time consuming job and new o ring and high pressure seals and the plastic pipes split (bad design and substandard plastic) if you do all injectors recon them and new pipes and they come out ok about £1000 at a good indy if main agent £3000 plus
main agent will tell you cyl head off !!!!!!!!

It also emits black smoke and will not rev beyond 3,000. The control panel shows the vehicle to be in "sleep mode".
