So on my way home from Ollies on Saturday we stopped off to view this and....
I have just bought this W124 Coupe’ advertised on eBay as my daily commuter for the winter.
It is a very basic 230CE 1988 in Nautic Blue with Cream cloth trim. Electric windows and sunroof, alloys and that’s about it no rear headrests either which is rare.
Thanks to garyn who recognised the car from a Mercedes Enthusiast Magazine front cover in 2011 and subsequently saw the car at a W124 club day in 2013 and told me how good the car was some of you may recognise it.
The interior although cloth is absolutely as new apart from some caps where a phone was fitted and a little creaminess to the Zebrano centre consul if you are fussy.
The exterior is very nice with a little chipping to the front which will be painted. Mileage is 123k with a fantastic service history. It has a rare roof aerial fitted from new although the stereo was changed to a later Mercedes one a couple of years ago.
It drives faultless very smooth and the suspension and ride are superb. All in all a low spec small engine W124 Coupe’ that still has class.
