I have had my 179,000 miles 1994 W124 E220 Estate now for nearly four weeks.
In that time, I have:
Fixed a squeak come from the front: £0.00 (WD40ed it)
Fixed a clunk coming from the front : £12.00 (pair of anti roll bar bushes)
Fixed a rear electic window switch: £0.00 (connector had come off)
Fixed the cruise control: £0.00 (resoldered the joints in the amp)
Fixed a broken (bullseyed) headlight glass: £0.00 (cleaned the inside and glued it up, OK not perfect but not bad).
Fixed a 'bulb out' issue: £1.99 (replaced a 5w tail lamp with a correct 10w)
Mileage covered: >500 miles. Total cost so far: £13.99
(now watch the engine fall out and/or autobox give up).
