Mystic Blue SL400 New Car Detail by Divine Detail Surrey

The blue really is something.

It really seems to appeal right across the age range but the paint colour just makes it stand out that little bit more.
(Quite) a few years ago I had a VW Bora in a similar share of pearlescent blue and it always garnered positive comments. Add in a gorgeous car under colour and you're definitely on a winner :thumb:

My view is that the UK car market is so full of silver, black and white cars that pretty much anything else marks you out as having different taste and therefore being potentially interesting. I long for the day when colour comes back to the UK car parc.

Absolutely gorgeous. I'm not surprised the car gets so much attention.

Enjoy.............

Very nice car, awesome shine now and I really, really like your interior :)

Was this car a supplied by MB Guildford?

Also what coating did you go for?

enjoy your lovely car!

Supplied by MB Gatwick.

Ed provided me a memory stick full of pictures, which includes the products he used - it's in my office. When I pop back in there I'll upload the images of each of the products.

I have the same coating on a few of mine and a year on it is still performing well. This is on cars which live outside and aren't exactly pampered.

Super job , car looks stunning.

You really can't beat that colour combination.

With you on the badge removal

Getting a new (to me) E320 next week and the boot lid model badges will be off PDQ. :thumb:

What a stunning car.....

I think I'll be contacting ed when I pick my new car up. A quick query though, does it matter that MB are putting star guard on it?!

Before anyone asks, no I didn't pay for it seem to bung it in for free on every car now, think they get bonuses for every car it gets put on....

Are you definitely sure they haven't sneakily charged for that? I'd have another look through the paper work just in case

Yeah I'm sure, got a LOT of money off it. Got 23% off two cars

No, it doesn't (other than that they'll probably manage to put a few more micro scratches in the paint while doing it :rolleyes: )

<cynic mode>

It may not be obvious where you've paid for it, but it'll be in there somewhere

</cynic mode>

Oh I'm a cynic too, I'm well aware that it costs them money, so it gets paid for somewhere, but it's not listed on my invoice and I'm more than happy with the discount I got off the car.

Put it this way, we had already done the deal when he said he'd get the two cars treated with star guard too

I refused to take the minor damage insurance offered for free too, as I'd had previous "issues" with them and MB ended up taking my car to their body shop for repairs (three times) due to poor repairs carried out under that insurance

Apologies to the OP for going off topic!

How much is star guard again? Isn't it £300 per car, that's an first A service each!

Dave.tam I hope you got the first two services for free as well as the star guard... lol

No I didn't get any services free, but I do the service plan so I get them a bit cheaper. Most important for me when i bought the cars was a discount, and I got a big one :)

I'd of asked them to swap Supaguard for an A service, then sign up after the A service for a service plan x3 years, B A B service for the same money :devil:

Service plan is cheaper if you sign up when you buy the car though. If I'd have waited until after the first service I'd have to pay more each month.

True that's because you hardly need anything on its first service, it's service B and A2 which are slightly more expensive (I'm guessing you signed up to a x3 year plan) however had you signed up to get BAB after the A then yes slightly more per month, but still a lot cheaper overall (long run) :thumb:

It's a rolling dd, can stop it whenever I like, but I like the peace of mind that comes with the service plan. It helps to budget too :)
