Hi,
I have the above fault on my 2003 ML270, I'm hoping I don't need to replace the sensor as this happend after my battery went flat and was re-charged, and this seems to be a common cause for the sensor failing and needing to be initialized. Can anyone advise me what can be done to initialize the sensor? I have tried starting the vehicle and locking the wheel left to right three times but the warning light (ESA BAS) on the dash is still lit up.
Can anyone else advise me what can be done to sort this problem and initialize the sensor? Having looked through this forum and others I have seen that opening and closing all windows as well as locking the steering wheel as previously mentioned can help some Mercedes, but I have not seen this mentioned for the ML.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks.
