(Excuse the pun...)


On Friday morning I realised that our brand new Worcester Bosch boiler shut itself down and will not restart.

I called British Gas at 9:55am, and - as per our contract - was promised a same day engineer's visits because the call was made before 10am.

At 1pm a British Gas engineer attended, concluded that the gas supply pressure was low, and that the fault was with the governor on top of the gas meter.

The British Gas engineer offered to call National Grid on my behalf. He did, and explained the issue to them, and said that they will be out within the hour.

At 2pm a National Grid gas engineer attended, and at 2:30 our boiler was up and running again.

I had issues with BG in the past, which were reported on this forum, but on this occasion they have performed very well and met my expectations in full.
