Nano technology coating

I have a new (2months old) facelifted 203 with nano technology coating. When I first got the car I noticed that it was lightly scratched all over (straight line scrathes) which were only visible in sunlight or the lights in my garage. I took the car back to the main dealer who re-polished the car which looked fine when I collected it. I washed it and gave it a quick polish with mercedes brand items and it now looks even worse the fine scratches look really bad but again only in sunlight or garage lights. The colour is Jasper blue. I would be interested if anyone else has had similar problems - any advice?

Take it back again. They can either repolish it properly or if htey feel it's going to be a problem then I'm sure MB would be interested, since nanocoat is supposed to stop exactly this problem.

I was going to make the same point. Why not go to the showroom, ask the local expert to explain what nano technology is all about ie let them 'sell it' to you, then take them outside and . . . . let us know , good luck.

Thanks for the response I am taking it back this week and will let you know what happens - great car shame about the paint!

I had the same exact problem and I solved it by selling the black w203 and getting a silver one, problem gone. I can tell you that the nano paint is a lot more chip resistant than the old paint. I only have 1 chip in 4,000 miles, my last W203 had many chips in that same timeframe.
