looks very good, sounds exbenzive.
Some pretty dire makes of car owners clubs have agms/meet ups there, so if the Maestro owners club can afford it?

I really, really wouldn't want to be the person who makes the final call on location

Anywhere that is suggested needs to have some sort of very local overnight camping/caravanning facilities for those that want to make a weekend of the event
Could there be a better location?
IMHO yes. Gaydon for its museum and MBworld if it weren't so far south.
To be honest if you're happy to drive to Gaydon, MB world is only another 90 minutes further away.
I doubt MB world would do anything for the club?
Hertfordshire County Showground
Redbourne Showground, VW meets use it.
Next to the M1 - doddle to find
Has cheepo lodge over the road:
Luton South (M1, J 9) Hotel | Information - cheap quality budget hotel rooms - Premier Inn
Has pub next to said lodge:
Find a Harvester
M1 handy for Northerners and kilt wearers, not too far from M25 for London people and southerners.

My suggestion was that a specific car related museum might offer a bit more entertainment than a collection of cars in a field/car park, and a useful activity if the weather is foul. As nice as a BBQ on a summmers day is, we cant really plan a meet like that such is the weather in Britain.
hahahaha. Probably needed such is the weather. Now, how to cater for 100 + RWD cars in a wet muddy field
They'll have a tractor and a chain with a big hook on it for that.
I'll say the comittee have really thought this one out good and proper
& by the way, not all the 'kilt wearers' live in scotland !!!
Are there any members with G-Wagens?
Oh good, I'll bring my pipes as well then ?

Only if we have a very big field...
