Navi Retro fit

OK, if your car is a pre-facelift, then the system you have is Audio20 (NTG4) and this system has no native support for satnav. Your only option is a Chinese Android system - see for example: How to Install Mercedes W204 Android Screen Upgrade? - Aftermarket Car Stereo Head Unit Upgrade (there are various other brands available).

As for the car, it is odd that it was built before 2010 but only first registered in 2012 - do you know the car's history? Is it an import etc?
I have a 2011 with Audio 20 and satnav built in not aftermarket

It’s actually called Audio 20 NGT7 but it actually NGT4

I meant the actual SatNav function, not the entire infotainment unit.

Audio20 NTG4 had an optional SatNav module called Navigation20.

Audio20 NTG4.5 had an optional SatNav module called Becker Map Pilot.

The satnav is the big standard Mercedes Sat nav but it does have 6 digit postcode

I meant bog standard but it does have the 7 inch screen

The pre-facelift W204 had either the higher-end COMAND NTG4 infotainment system with built in navigation on an internal HDD, or the more basic Audio20 unit with the optional Navigation20 or APS 50 navigation system.

Based on the information you provided, I believe that your car has the Audio20 NTG4 infotainment system.

If you do have the navigation function, then this means that you also have either the Navigation20 or APS 50 options installed.
