Well we must speak as we find.

I complained to Navteq about the out of date Mercedes-Benz dealership information.

I got the standard 'sales' reply about how they regularly update their data base and it merely takes time for the information to go through the system

Anyway tonight I have just received the following information:

We are pleased to inform you that our investigation of your reported
Driver Feedback has been completed. Here is the actual resolution
from our database tracking system: The NAVTEQ map database has been
checked. The Mercedes-Benz dealership points of interest have been
reviewed. The dealership in Paignton is no longer listed in the
NAVTEQ database. The address of Mercedes-Benz of Exeter, on Matford
Park Road is the same as that shown on the Mercedes-Benz UK website.
The dealership, Mercedes-Benz of Plymouth is placed on Transit Way,
Honicknowle.

We value your feedback, and encourage you to use the Driver Feedback
form anytime you encounter a disparity between the real world road
network and your product's representation of it. We will gladly
investigate your future requests.

I suppose the moral is that if we want something done then a polite letter of complaint will get things sorted. Even if the dealership information was two years out of date.

They have even got 'Janners' favourite dealership correct :eek: ;)
