Sometimes luck can really be on your side!

Make it stop!! Anyone else hate GIFs?

Two years ago, in Russia I had a similar situation, but miraculously missed every car parked as I skidded from side to side along the road! The road was like an ice rink and even with studded tyres I still did the pinball wizard down the road! Very scary!

What's wrong with a gif renault?

A small, few second multi-frame soundless image that captures the essence of what would otherwise be a lengthy video, needing to load in a player, buffer, etc.

If it's that they loop, that's just a default option, they don't have to loop, but as the controls aren't shown by default, it's right that they loop, as they're often too short to see it all in the one take.

Vines have tried to be the best of both worlds, but they'll never replace the good ol' gif image.

Many years ago in a far away land (Surrey) I had to stop on the A3 near Guilford, when a load of trucks got stuck in the snow and ice.

I was driving a Toyota Celica GT4 at the time. After sitting for about 20 minutes I decided to get out for a look around. BAD MOVE.

As I got out I fell on my ****. Attempting to return to the vertical I grabbed my car which very gently set off down the hill with all four wheels locked.

Luckily it hit only the hard shoulder on its balletic slide. I then watched as several others did likewise.

Black ice.

Somebody up there likes him!

I think that's a clever spoof. Look very carefully at the end; the parked car that appears to stop the sliding one doesn't move or even jerk, nothing seems to be damaged, the sliding car doesn't pivot around the point of contact, and in fact it appears to come to a halt, very quickly, just before the two cars actually make contact. Clever...

It came from a reliable source and the point of it is that the car stopped, inches away from the parked car. However, I wasn't there.....
