Need a gear selector module

Sadly my C32 is showing the symptoms of the electronic selector module dying. It gets stuck in one gear, usually 2nd, and the display on the dash seems to stay on 'R' even though the car is in drive or neutral etc.

So, anyone have an idea of the cost of a new one or can it be sent away for test/repair?

Any comments greatly received. As would some cash as I get the feeling this will be expensive!

Cheers for the reply mate, mine is a tiptronic W203 but I couldn't see a match in the list you posted. I'm going to give my local dealer a call in the morning to see how much the part is, if it's silly money then I'll probably get it sent off for repair.

I'm pretty sure they need to be coded to the car too.

Olly, would you know if the existing part is repairable? If so, I guess it would eliminate the need to be coded to the car as a new one would?
