need favour- someone with w211 02-06

Hi could someone do me a favour? I know the front chrome bumper trim insert is 72cm in length.. could someone measure the width of this at widest point? I still haven't sorted the one on my E55... I know the fittings are different, but was going to see if I could cannibalise a standard w211 and fit it another way.... if this doesn't work.. will try getting both front ones wrapped in chrome... my strip is still present but chrome has come off. Many thanks.... was going to hang around supermarkets this morning like a perv but its a bit damp!!

I need a new chrome strip too, but I've decided to paint mine instead and reduce amount of chrome on my car.

Just measured the chrome strip on mine and it's 722mm long, obviously measured along outer face and 21.5mm wide.

i originally had all my chrome de-chromed.... not a good look so peeled it off... colour coding would be better I guess... im going to try a) butchering standard w211 and fitting in and if this doesn't work.. b) chrome wrap to front trims on the bumper

Yes its off the 55, had a look at my 07 280 which is a different design.

cheers Ginger... I actually need width from the older w211 (NON E55) which I believe is 72cm in length... the newer w211 from 07 had shorter strips...

I should state I don't need measurements off the E55 as I have these to hand on my car! but off an non AMG w211 02-06 pleaseee

I'm thinking of painting the chrome strips in body colour.
