Hi all I could really do with some help
I drive a Mercedes c220 amg 2.2 diesel automatic 2012
Recently while heading onto the motorway I noticed my car wouldn't enter 7th gear and was staying high revs I headed off the motorway and noticed the car wasn't in the correct gears for the speeds I was always running around 1 revs when the car was okay now it was sticking around 2. And I had a yellow engine light
I also noticed when this was happening the turbo would not work or the manual gear changing.
I took it to a garage and the man said the alarm was a dpf regeneration failure.
So he said he did a force regeneration and lowered the percentage to 12% the car ran okay for 1 day after this and then the same problem happened again.
I took it back to him and he said the DPF sensor had malfunctioned and would need a new sensor installing, he charged me 180 pound and said the problem should now be fixed.
It was started doing it again 1 day after this.
I don't want to take it back to him cos he's charging me stupid amounts and not fixing the problem.
Does anyone have any ideas
Thank you
