I've had installed a CLK55 AMG steering wheel with gear shift buttons and contact spiral as well as the Transmission Control Module in my W209 2003 (D2B based) CLK 500 but the technician concerned can't program it to work correctly and has spent many hours trying (he has the standard STAR equipment).
All the parts came from the same CLK 55 AMG of the same year and except for the steering wheel were the same part numbers as in the CLK 500.
The C S M selector switch was installed with the additional required wire to make it work.
He did get one of the switches working (cant remember if it was upshift or down) but the other put the car in limp home mode I believe.
So my question is does anyone like a challenge and know how to crack this and can get it working or is it an impossible task!?
