I recently bought koni shox for my C43 AMG
K-8041-1315SPORT
K-8041-1316SPORT
fitting instruction manual says, these twintube shox needs to be set in a vise then push in the shock valve rod and turn shock counter clockwise.
is this correct for first time firm adjustment off the car, shox being set in a vise?
maybe they described this info for other SPORT series as a generic adjustment/fitting procedure?
other say, install shox to the car and simply adjust stiffness with adjusting knob.
anyone have experiance with Koni yellow twintubes?
koni 26 series has to be adjusted in a vise for each firm setting
koni 8041 series: Externally adjustable by means of a knob or pin without removing the shock absorbers from the car.
I copied this text from their site describing their SPORT shox: These sport shocks are externally adjustable by means of a knob and need to be disassembled from the car
KONI: sport & dampers for the ultimate road feeling
I'm getting confused what is correct install procedure?
please let me know.
