Need help to with MB servicing

Hi,

My Service B is due this month and i need some help to choose appropriate place to do it in Birmingham
I own 2019 A-Class 220, its manufacturer warranty has expired already. I don't want to do the service in MB dealership because its too expensive.
Last years service was done at Halfords, but i read in this forum and many people don't suggest to use Halfords.
Can anyone suggest any MB specialists place in Birmingham? I don't how to find a good place.

Just to add, it is still in finance. Just had a call with MB, they say that because its in finance it has to be done in MB dealership... But when i spoke to them last year, they said it can be done anywhere, as long as they use approved parts... Im really confused, what will be the right way to do..

Sorry , I don’t know anything about how finance affect servicing . Hopefully someone else will buddy

You can service it whereever you like. Even if you have MB finance. They must be VAT registered use genuine parts or parts of comparable quality

MB Newcastle have an ebay store, they sell service kits just give them your details, if you wish to service it yourself.

It used to be... but not any more. MB Service Care Plan prices have nearly doubled over the last couple of years.

The servicing requirements in order to keep the 3-year new car warranty, and the servicing requirements stipulated in the finance agreement, are two unrelated issues. If asking MB, make sure that you are asking the right question for the relevant circumstances, and then make sure that you have their answer in writing...

Just had our VW serviced at the dealers, because it is on an online service record and leased it had to go to VW as the lease company will want up to date service record. The service was an absolute bargain at £550.00

A service plan for my car worked out way more expensive.

I have a 2021 GLC 300 mild hybrid, I had a B service recently carried out at Mercedes in Norwich, this included brake fluid and cabin filter, it was from memory £498, a 2 year service plan is £86 per month so £1032 per year, the next service is an A so even allowing for price increases it’s got to work out way less than a plan.

That is untrue.

Any garage registered for VAT and using genuine or equivalent quality parts may service the vehicle..
