Mercedes ML 300 sport Blue efficiency
Hi All, I have developed a fault on my Ml 300 blue effiencency. Upon starting the car in the morning the idle speed is a lot higher that it used to be, It has always been around 750 rpm to 800 rpm, it is anywhere between 1100 and 1500 rpm until it has reached normal operating temp then it drops back to the normal idle speed, It is becoming a bit of a pain to drive as its pushing the car along, I am finding myself having to manually change to a lower gear to keep the road speed down, and having to knock it into neutral at traffic light so it isn't pulling at the gearbox, there are no warning lights on and as I say once its reached 90* it seams fine. Its a bit like the old days of manual choke on petrol cars where you could push it in half way onto fast idle? Any help would be appreciated. I am thinking a fault sensor somewhere but would of expected engine management light to come on?

Give Nick Webster in Poynton a call. He is very good and I think he charges £25.00 for a diagnostic on Star which will tell you whats wrong, otherwise your just guessing at it.

Google for Merc Specialist Poynton will get you the info and telephone number
