Hi,

Bingo! that is indeed the Kew Steam museum tower in the background... good spot!

the £ 600 service was a "full" service; all fluids, fliters and whole car checked.

thing is that my usual garage charges £ 250 for exactly the same thing. it confuses me...

does anyone know where i can get the under tray from? i'm having issues locating one....

Hi all,

I am a recent joiner on the MBClub and have found it very useful to-date. Used it extensively in researching my recent purchase of a 1990 W124 300CE.

Not been the best experience so far unfortunately. I am hardly driving it (had it 5 months and driven it about 6 weekends, not touched for the last 3months) so its probably my fault. Now have the usual not-driven faults such - I think the dizzy cap needs looking at (moisture in there i've been told?) as its a slightly rough idle and engine cuts out when warm.

Hence looking for a decent speicalist in East/SouthEeast London areas. Someone mentioned the Prestige Group in SE London - I live about 5mins away - are they any good?!

Anyway, I hope once I get my beauty up and running again, it will give me the long service it deserves.

Any advice welcome!!

Thanks.

Trying to attach a picture of my w124. Not quite sure how to do it here? Here is first try...maybe its attached somewhere on this post....

Welcome to the forum Shahnan - and what a great purchase i might add! If you're able to get to Sidcup, you can always try Wright Tech:

Andy is a top bloke and very reasonable.

Hi and welcome to the forum.Your car looks very good, what bodykit is that?Post some pictures when you can :thumb:
About Prestige I mentioned them as that`s where I service my cars and they`ve been good to me for all the times I`ve used them

Just spotted the pic,very nice:thumb:
I`ve seen you some time ago one sat morning I belive, and yes it stalled lol

Thanks dw124 and 300CE. WIll check out Prestige and/or Merc Tech asap once I get the car running again.

dw124 - nice to know you saw me stalling! It would definitely have been me! I think I ended up being towed back that day and have not had a chance to look at the car since. Battery now dead and need to get dizzy cap looked at :-(

In fact I think i've seen your red w124 around the Catford area right????

thanks 1989w124! I have to admit, I do love looking at it, even though its currently laying 'dead' needing a recharge and dizzy cap looking at.

BTW does anyone here know where I can get a genuine AMG exhaust tail pipe?

d w124 can you send me the details of the original AMG (square) pipes and your Sebring backbox? How much are they generally?

Thanks. I was looking for the original AMG square pipes actually so will leave the Sebrings for now. Will keep a look out.

I`ve sent a pm to the other guy and I think you should take them as they are rare to find

thanks mate - let me know what you find out. Do you know if its literally just an add-on to the existing system (i.e., slip on the AMG pipes over the current system)?
