Battery is 5 years old and looks as if it is not holding a charge. Checking the terminals the -ve clamp bolt is seized solid and did not want to force it as it could damage the battery. The battery installation looks original very clean no corrosion.

Any tips or will I have to pull the battery and the -ve lead and cut the bolt and replace?

Have you tried the usual, i.e. soaking it in penetrating oil?

Hot water.
As in straight from a kettle after it has boiled.

Tried the water but still seized. Got the lead out of the car and the bolt head in a vice and it sheared off. New bolt from a lead bought on E-bay.
