hi all

following on tangentially from my blackberry/e71/iphone thread http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/ot-off-topic-forums/72159-blackberry-vs-nokia-e71.html , i was thinking laterally.

could one use one of these little netbook things as a "push" email device the same as a blackberry/e71 etc ? my understanding of push email is that it looks for emails all the time and effectively sends a "copy" of the email to the device so you get a copy on your home pc as well (please correct me if i am wrong).

wondering if its an alternative to have in the van instead of having a blackberry/e71 out on site with me and the potential damage from wet/cementy fingers etc?? that way i could concentrate on the phone being a phone but still be in contact with the office and not needing to have a gigantic laptop (and its temptation to the thieves) lying around. Already have a £15/month subscription to 3 for mobile bband

Hello

Currently I use a Toshiba NB100 athough will upgrade this to a NB200 as I buy these for work 2gb ram, 160gb H/d, Atom 1.6 processor, 10.2 " screen, Mac style raised keys. Battery life reported to be 9hrs.

Works a treat.

Samsung NC10 also very good.

Plug my E71 into it and it works through the free data tariff a treat.

I also think theres a hack with a 3 dongle to make it 02 compatable then buy a iPhone sim pay as you go sim and you get free interweb for 12 months....
