In short, ministers are apparently considering for next year, allowing 'drivers' of cars that feature advanced systems such as 'lane assist' and so on, to be able to watch movies whilst on the move. The driver is expected to remain sufficiently engaged with driving so as to take over control of the vehicle in the event of an incident that the vehicle can't handle by itself.
I think this policy is insane.
