New 507 RS Question Please...

Hi Guys,

First post on Forum, took delivery of new 507 two days ago...totally love it but agree with others frustration of 4500rpm for 1000miles....

The question is about the Race Start setting....just pre-empting the 1000miles to come up soon, but was told by the dealer that you could realistically only do 9 launches before the clutch would need to be replaced? Surely not, or hope not....

I previously owned a 911 with which you could launch it all day long if you so wished with no consequence to the clutch.

Could any experienced race drivers in the making shed light on this for me please...

Doubt it somehow, it's not very harsh on the box from experience.

I've probably done 9 or 10 and my car is fine. On a Gallardo maybe only 9 or 10 launches, but I think the MCT box is much stronger and the clutch is only driving 2 wheels.

Just make sure 1) the engine is warmed through 2) you are in S+ 3) Sport Mode enabled

Not sure I will ever use it again except to demo to a friend as it's awkward to use and its far more fun just to go into M gearbox mode, turn the traction control fully off and do it yourself

Dealer told me do as many as you want its under warranty, Its easy to use very quickly if you get used to it
